Membership Criteria and Process
Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber

I.   Prospective members shall be able to demonstrate an economic interest in the Chamber and adhere to its mission statement - Article II Section I of the Bylaws

III.   All prospective members shall be interviewed in person prior to consideration by the Membership Committee. Member of membership committee shall meet in person with prospective member for the purpose of interviewing them.

IV.   All prospective members shall be able to demonstrate a desire to "promote and support the activities of the Chamber"

Membership Process

1. Receive Application from Applicant
2. Interview Appointment Scheduled by Membership Committee within 2 weeks of application being received
3. All applications presented to the Board with recommendation to approve or decline from the membership committee. (Email is okay)
4. All applicants contacted within one week after Board meeting for disclosure of status of application.
5. All approved applicants sent letter of welcome from the President within the next week inviting them to attend the next general meeting.
6. All new members added to membership list and displayed in newsletter
7. Orientation meeting scheduled within two weeks of joining Chamber at which time a copy of budget, bylaws, and invitation to join a standing committee shall be given to new member.
